switchmyflight

switchmyflight will permit passengers to change their flight any number of times within 12 months of validity calculated from the date of original purchase and up to 4 (four) hours before departure. It will only be available online, not through the call centre. It only applies to flight date and flight times. Any other changes can be made in the normal way and will incur usual fees/fare differences. Please see the terms and conditions for more info.

In order to purchase a switchmyflight ticket, customers will be prompted to 'top up' during the booking process. The cost quoted being the difference in ticket price between the flight selected and the switchmyflight fare. It's appropriate for regular fliers, people who may make changes to their schedules regularly or people who make frequent short hops.

Terms and conditions

Changes to destination under switchmyflight will incur a change fee and any applicable fare difference. These changes can only be made through the call centre up to 4 (four) hours before the scheduled departure time.

The ticket under switchmyflight is valid for departure up to 12 months after the date of original purchase.

Changes to switchmyflight tickets are free provided the changes are made online and there are no increases in applicable taxes and surcharges. Any increase in applicable taxes and surcharges will be payable by passengers when making the change. Similarly, any decrease in applicable taxes and surcharges will be refunded to passengers when making the change. Changes via the call centre will incur a fee.

Name changes are permitted subject to the standard name change fee and any applicable fare difference.

Should the switchmyflight ticket be accompanied with the boardmefirst product, then the flight can only be changed to flights where boardmefirst is available.

switchmyflight tickets are non-refundable.

Any applicable fare difference will still apply under switchmyflight tickets on peak travel periods.

International Flights: Peak travel periods are between 18 December 2010 and 7 January 2011, and four (4) days prior to Chinese New Year ("CNY") and ten (10) days after CNY.

Domestic Australia Flights: Peak travel periods are between 18 December 2010 and 7 January 2011, and 20 and 28 April 2011.
