Fare conditionTaxes and chargesThis is the portion of the total airfare above the base fare that is payable by each passenger. It is calculated by reference to the applicable Government taxes and airport charges that are payable by Tiger Airways in respect of passengers being carried on a particular route together with any administrative or other fees imposed by the airline.Government Tax - This is a governmental departure or arrival tax which is collected by the airline and payable to the relevant governmental authorities. These taxes vary from country to country and in some cases are collected locally on departure and not by the airline. Passenger Service Charge - This is the charge made by the airport authorities to the airlines for use of the terminal, runway, emergency services, security facilities etc. GST or VAT is currently charged at 0% on fares or fees relating to International journeys. For flights wholly within Domestic Australia, GST applies. Please note that all reference to fees in A$ in this Help section includes GST for Domestic Flights within Australia, whereas all fees quoted in S$ are without GST for International journeys. The amounts are provided for guidance only and we reserve the right to amend our fees at any time. Fare rulesTR flights are operated by Tiger Airways Singapore.TT flights are operated by Tiger Airways Australia. All Tiger Airways bookings must be made at 4 (four) hours before scheduled departure. Fares quoted are per person per one way journey. Tiger Airways does not offer open-dated or open-ended tickets. Tickets are valid for 1 (one) year from the date of issue of the ticket. Fares quoted are subject to airport taxes and other prevailing charges, unless already included in the fare for Australian Domestic Flights, both of which shall be borne by you. All fares are subject to change until purchased and all seats are subject to availability. Fares, taxes and charges may fluctuate based on impending currency exchange rates and will be displayed as reservations charges. Tiger Airways fares and charges are strictly non-refundable except as provided in the Conditions of carriage. Flight dates, times, routes may be changed up to 4 (four) hours prior to scheduled departure subject to amendment fees and applicable fare difference being paid. Name changes are allowed upon payment of a change fee of S$75 or A$60 per passenger per flight sector plus any fare difference at the time of change and available only via the call centres at least 4 (four) hours before the scheduled departure time. Please note that no refund will be available should the fare be lower at the time of change. If a reservation is not amended at least 4 (four) hours prior to scheduled departure, all monies associated with the booking are forfeited. Infants under 2 (two) years of age at the time of travel, who do not occupy an aircraft seat are only charged S$50(or local currency equivalent for international flights) or A$30 (for Australia domestic flights) per infant per one way journey. Infants are not required to pay taxes and charges and do not qualify for baggage allowance, the adult fare paying passenger can select the appropriate Luggage Upsize if required. Only 1 (one) infant per adult over 18 years of age will be permitted to travel. Children over the age of 2 (two) years at the time of travel are required to occupy a seat onboard our flights. They are required to pay the full fare, taxes and charges. All passengers who have purchased a Flight Combination will be required to clear customs and immigration where applicable and reclaim any baggage and then check-in for their onward flight. Please note at least 3 (three) hours is required to complete this process. Changes cannot be made to any part of a flight combination journey once the departure of the first flight has passed. All travel is subject to the Carrier's conditions of carriage. No stopovers are allowed on any flight combination fare. A stopover is defined as a period of more than 24 hours in the connecting city and/or country. Any unutilised portion of a flight combination is non-refundable or transferable. Refunds and cancellationsTiger Airways operates a no refund policy and as such it is unable to refund any tickets (fares and charges) where the passenger decides they no longer have a requirement to fly or is unable to travel, as a result of any change in personal circumstances, including but not limited to medical grounds. Individual or Personal Travel Insurance is recommended for all passengers to cover such cancellations.Should a passenger decide they no longer wish to travel they are entitled to apply for a refund of the Government Passenger Services Tax and other government taxes paid. However, Tiger Airways will apply a S$50.00 or A$50.00 (for Australia domestic flights) administration fee (or local equivalent) per passenger per sector to cover the cost of processing and bank charges for each tax refund request. In the event of the death of a passenger prior to the scheduled departure time of their flight. Tiger Airways will refund the reservation following receipt of a copy of the death certificate. Changing a bookingAll reservations on Tiger Airways can be changed subject to the following conditions.International/Domestic flights No changes can be made to any reservation within 4 (four) hours of the original scheduled departure time and/or BEYOND one (1) year from date of purchase. Changes may not be permitted on selected promotional fares. Flight cancellations and schedule changesIn the event that your Tiger Airways flight is cancelled we will reschedule you on the next available Tiger Airways flight, free of charge.Tiger Airways does not compensate, reimburse or provide tickets for travel on other airlines and takes no responsibility whatsoever should a cancellation cause you to miss a connection to another flight. If your flight is rescheduled before the date of travel, and departs more than 4 (four) hours before or after the original departure time, then you will be entitled to a travel credit or full refund of the unused part of your reservation if the alternative flight/s offered are not acceptable to you and you do not wish to travel. This is provided you notify Tiger Airways more than 4 (four) hours prior to the scheduled departure time of your flight. Tiger Airways does not provide meal vouchers or hotel accommodation for flights which are delayed or cancelled. We recommend that all passengers ensure that they have suitable private travel insurance cover in force to cover such eventualities. Passengers who book well in advance should check their outward/return flight timings between 24 and 72 hours prior to departure by using the "Manage my booking" section on the Tiger Airways website or by calling the Tiger Airways call centre. Changes to your reservation will be communicated via email. It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure the email address provided is current and accessed frequently. Tiger Airways takes no responsibility in the event that emails advising of changes to bookings are not accessed. In the event of an ad-hoc flight delay or schedule change, where the delay or schedule change is less than 4 (four) hours, Tiger Airways will not give prior warning to passengers. For any ad-hoc delay or schedule change greater than 4 (four) hours every effort will be taken to contact passengers via the telephone number or email address provided at the time of making the reservation. Standby and waitlistTiger Airways does not operate a standby or waitlist policy. All reservations must be confirmed at least 4 (four) hours prior to the Scheduled Departure Time.ConnectionsTiger Airways is strictly a 'point-to-point' airline. We therefore do not offer and cannot facilitate, the transfer of passengers or their baggage to other flights, whether operated by Tiger Airways or other airlines.All rail and coach transfers detailed on www.tigerairways.com or promoted by Tiger Airways are operated independently of the airline and connections cannot be guaranteed. Tiger Airways is not responsible for late, cancelled or incorrectly featured transfer information. All passengers will be required to clear Immigration/Customs where applicable and collect their baggage upon arrival of their Tiger Airways flight. No transfers using 'Airside' facilities will be permitted. |
