Responsibilities:

Flight Operations Technical Support

  • Execute processes to effect the management and implementation of changes to aircraft performance data. Including the production and maintenance of the aircraft performance manual.
  • Monitoring & implementing changes to aircraft weight & balance documentation, including close liaison with the company "Approved Weight Control Authority"

  • Provide administrative support for special projects as directed by the Flight Operations Manager and/or Head of Flight Operations.
  • In conjunction with the Flight Operations Manager, monitor, review, analyse, and evaluate regulations relevant to Tiger Airways operations and assist in the preparation of reports & recommendations on same. Monitor the Flight Operations elements of the Tiger Airways CASA Compliance Statement with each manual revision, and ensure that the Compliance Statement is updated accordingly.
  • Execute Day to day administration of the Flight Planning system navigational databases.

Document Control

Production, tracking and amendment of company and third party operational documentation inline with company and CASA requirements and regulations, including:

  • Action & administer requests for the publication of new manuals, revisions to existing manuals, and supplementary operational instructions, including the analysis of the initial request, process development, & authoring/compilation of the intellectual content, as directed by the Flight Operations Manager or other member of the Flight Operations management team. Including the physical amendment and distribution of operational documentation.
  • Advise the Flight Operations Manager on the priority of production and issuance of revisions to operational documentation.
  • Liaise with company manual Controlling Authorities to ensure the integrity of manual technical or procedural content. 
  • Execute the review & update processes of the operational manual suites, supplementary operational instructions, and other ancillary controlled documentation functions.
  • Maintain a register of all documentation, and liaise with the Flight Operations Manager to ensure currency of the register, and liaise with other users to ensure currency of documentation is achieved. Act as the final Quality Control filter for the intelligibility of content & structural integrity of designated elements of the Operations manual suites and ancillary documentation, including their revisions.
  • Tracking and management of all documentation in the Document Control System (DCS) database.
  • Production (Printing, binding etc.) of in-house operational manuals, Aircraft Performance Charts, Crew Flight Staff Instructions.
  • Audit of documentation status at relevant facilities.
  • Maintenance of online documentation website.

Qualifications ·         

  • A Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Engineering or other relevant qualification/s with supporting experience and exposure to Flight Operations functions. 
  • Holding Commercial pilot license is an advantage. 

Skills      

  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to deliver results under time pressure.
  • Self motivated, with the ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as required.

Technical Knowledge      

  • Knowledge of relevant CASA regulations.

    Singapore based Tiger Airways has a vacancy for an experienced safety specialist to assume the role of Safety Manager to join our team in Singapore. This is a key role reporting to the Head of Safety, Quality & Security and involves an interface with all areas of the business. An understanding of Safety Management Systems and their application within the airline environment will be required.

    Role Accountabilities include:

    • Administration and management of the company Quality and Safety Management Systems, including the flight data analysis program (FDAP).
    • Developing and maintaining safety awareness in all employees.
    • Developing and maintaining the company reporting system.
    • Encouraging a continuous improvement philosophy and dissemination of safety related information.
    • Liaison with Maintenance Control and third party providers over Quality Assurance and reporting issues.
    • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of any corrective action taken, in light of reports or investigation, and provide timely closure of such reports.
    • Liaison and coordination with CAAS and other relevant agencies on matters of reporting and audit functions.
    • Managing accident and incident investigations, and matters pertaining to Crisis Management.
    • Maintenance of the company Quality and Safety Manuals.
    • Conducting safety and operational audits.
    • Management of the company Crisis Management Plan and participation in corporate strategy planning, as appropriate.
    • Compilation and monitoring of the departmental budget.
    • Assist with the management of company documentation control system.

    Applicants should fulfill the following requirements:

    • Significant aviation operational experience (preferably in an airline environment).
    • Sound understanding of Safety Management Systems and Quality Assurance processes.
    • Good IT skills, with thorough knowledge of Access, Word and Excel a significant advantage.
    • Ability to work unsupervised and proactively within a fast paced environment.
    • An understanding of the needs of a modern Low Cost Carrier.
    • Experience of AQD Quality & Safety software or similar.
